News 📰
🪦 Remember Neeva? the AI-powered search engine that was going to replace Google for us? They are shutting down (this should go to KilledByGoogle section, but TL;DR they realized that building a Search Engine is one task (the easy one) and to convince people to actually use it an entirely different one)
Talking about Startups being killed, are we? OpenAI just dropped their ChatGPT App for iOS this week with future Android app coming as well. On top of that, they use Whisper for Speech to Text (howdy there Siri, you listening?)
I distinctly remember congressperson asking Sama, “this is a global issue, right?”. Well, the globe watched them G7 is meeting to set standards for AI regulations (this exclusive cool boys club’s meeting is going to be interesting as not all of them might be aware of how magical LLMs are in general, they might discuss it and then party around after it)
Not surprisingly, Google will use its newest AI models on ads (I guess now it’s about using AI to strengthen your business’s own moat rather than expanding to new ones, right?)
Apple is on the hunt for generative AI talent (perhaps they are serious about how it’s been going for Siri?) It’s always good to have some good competition, no?
Microsoft unveiled a bunch of AI integrations into its services and platforms at Microsoft Build 2023. With this and other small improvements (like native RAR support) would Linux and Mac devs be budged to switch to Windows as their dev machine?
Netflix finally
preventspaywalls password sharing. So now your plan allows you to only share your Netflix subscription with people living in one household. Would you pay?Naval tweeted about a new startup he’s excited about. Reminds me of Clubhouse. Let’s see how this one does - Tweet

A List of Leaked System Prompts - Prompts are what drives an LLM and system prompts are what prevents them from driving insane. Here's a list of leaked system prompts (prompt injecting is a real threat now)
Checkpoint detected extensions with more than 45k download having malware on the VSCode Marketplace (What were you stealing? Training data for your next AI?)
Why is my dryer radioactive? - And should you do something about it?
What was reasoning anyway?
From the topic to the research to the script to the narration to the video, everything about this is so well done!

Moravec’s Paradox - What is one major differentiator between humans from animals? Reasoning, and not movement right? Guess what’s easier to compute?
